I am 42 going on 43

I am 42
going on 43.
and I feel
like I am 22.
Life has
a funny way
of making
our minds young
and our bodies
old.
This is my last
night of 42.
After tonight
I will be 43
and when I look
at the last , past
3 years I have
lived my life.
I left my husband
at 40 and now
here I am.
I have loved
and been loved.
My heart has been
broken.
I have changed
jobs twice.
I have moved,
started a new
life.
Quit eating.
started sleeping.
Learned
to sew.
Started to bike.
Learned to
forgive myself.
Changed my
direction in life.
Let people in.
Let my defenses
down.
Learned.
And once
again,
I find me
opening
up my heart.
Something
I thought I
would never
do.
So here I come
43, I can not
wait to see
what you do
this year.
All I know is
it will be
full of love
and love of life.
Because...
after 3 years,
I found life again.
and love.
