Laying on your chest

laying on your bed.
we have our
clothes on.
This never
happens.
you are laying
on your back.
I am on my side
against you
with my face
nuzzled against
your neck,
talking ,and
talking.
we finally
just lay
in silence.
both of our
thoughts drifting.
Drifting like
a lonely log in
the river.
where is it going?
how did it
get here?
time, I think.
I wish I
had more time
on this planet.
I feel I started
my life so
late.
I say out loud
in your ear.
I wish we had
more time.
You hold
me closer
and whisper
back in my
ear,
You can have
all my time.
we drift
asleep
in a big
bear nap.
I can not
spend the night
I say
falling asleep.
I know you say.
just lay here
for a moment
and take up some
of my time.
