Your World, Your Words

I got wrapped
up and
almost
forgot
who I was.
It was so
difficult
for me to
breathe.
Even now
when I look
back
I realize
the problem
is
bigger than I
could have
even
imagined.
Outside drinking
coffee
watching the
world
walk by.
As I let
the problem
unwrap
in my head
like a ball
of string
unraveling
down a
hill,
I see.
This is
your world,
not mine.
You allow me
the courtesy of
being here
as long as
I nod
smile and
repeat your
words.
I can do
that.
Just be careful
of the words
you use.
Because
I will
repeat
them.
Again
and
again.
