Gonzo or Buddha?

I could not
get to temple
today.
much too busy.
I worked out
and came
home.
I will meditate
and pray at
home.
I took my prayer
cushion and put
it in the middle
of the floor.
Lit my candle
and put on
my Buddhist
music.
In I go.
Peaceful.
Thanking God
for all my blessings.
As I open my eyes
I look at my Buddha
Statue, Sitting
on my shelf.
Right next to
him is Gonzo.
Gonzo has his arm
around Buddha.
I start to smile.
smile at the possibilities.
Who would I want
to be most like?
Buddha is all
about selflessness,
peace and beauty.
Happiness and
being happy with
simple.
Gonzo is about
Fun, Excitement.
Love and Loving
who you are.
Plus he has
an obsession
with chickens.
He does not
eat them
he is in love
with them.
Hmmm?
so is Buddha.
Tuff Call.
Focus!!
I tell myself.
You should
be praying about
Love, peace and
happiness.
After a moment
I smile..
I am ...I am thinking
about Gonzo and
Buddha.
Love
Happiness
and Peace.
And Chickens....Hummmm.
hummmm.
