Dance of my Heart.

I worked out.
I moved the carpet
and your crate.
And the music
started and
then I started...
Dancing.
You usually
just lay down
and watch,
but tonight...
tonight,
you were full of it.
As I started dancing
you came into the room
and started barking
and jumping up
on me.
I was spinning
and you were
running
in circles.
You were dancing
with me.
You are a dog..
do you know
dogs do not dance?
You danced with me
for about 15 min.
you got so sleepy
you collapsed on the floor.
I danced and danced.
Hours went by
I danced till I could
not feel.
I could not feel
my heart.
I cooled down
and danced to
a slow song.
You stood in
the middle of
the room
watching me.
You normally
do not do this.
I got down on the
floor
to cool off and rest.
You came up next to me
and put
your nose to my
nose and just
sighed.
What a beautiful
creature, I thought.
What a great Dog.
As I lay on the
floor
I started to cry.
Wanting to be
loved.
you simply
took
your dog paw,
lifted it
and put in on my
cheeck
You just
danced in my
heart.
