Making a home

When I
first moved
in here
I had 2 lawn
chairs
and a single
mattress
on the floor.
I have a little
patio
area in the back
i have never
set up.
I thought
I would
Leave here.
It never felt
like Home.
Today I cleaned
and put chairs and
a umbrella out.
I aimed
the chairs to
look over the farm
at the mountains.
I rocked in the
chair for
awhile.
I had a dream
of me and you
getting old
together and
rocking in
chairs like
this, just
the two
of us.
That is how
I pictured my
home.
Right now
as I am rocking
and looking at
the empty
chair next to me.
I am ok.
This finally
feels like
my home.
I feel good here.
And truth
be told,
I do not need
anyone next
to me rocking.
I am not saying
that that rocker
wont get warmed
up from time
to time.
What I am saying
Is..
I prefer to leave
it empty.
I prefer to make
my life and my
Home ...
just mine.
