The meaning of Life

Many have
looked
and some
have found.
The meaning
of life
why we
are here?
Are we
wasting
are time?
On the right Path?
Went to temple
this moring.
My eyes
puffy from
crying
the night
before.
I sat down
and prayed.
Again.
Not for love
Not for peace
in my heart.
Not even my
meaning of life.
I am too exhausted
for this.
I simply prayed
for others.
The people
who are not
safe.
With no
food.
with no clothes.
No homes.
No Hope.
It felt good.
Not to always
think of myself.
Lets face it..
I am exhausting.
As I was leaving
the monk standing
by the door.
smiles and bows.
Peace be with you.
Do you think you
got what you needed
today?
he asks.
Yes. I found
the meaning of life
today.
I respond.
What was that?
he asks.
Others.
the needs of others
is the meaning
of life.
I am so exhausted
about thinking
about me heart,
I am going
to help others.
I respond.
One step closer
he says as he
walks away.
One step closer
to what, I ask?
What we are all
looking for.
he smiles
the end.,,he says,
Because once
we get there
that is where
we truly begin.

quietly.
Hmm.
for a quick moment
I get it.

Each ending
a new beginning.
