I got a little lost

I was taking a class
once.
The point was to
find your
personal
misson statement
in life or
work or both.
You needed to
dig down
deep.
I did.
I got a little lost
recently
and I found
the book
where I had scribbled
out my mission statement.
Where I want to
see myself.
Here it is..
I will be happy and healthy.
My career will be challenging and energizing.
It will change, educate and challenge
people to do things they
never thought that they could do.
I will live by water, riding my
shiny red bike wherever I need to go.
Having the freedom after work is done to
enjoy life and take in all the experiences
and be present in the moment.
Having peace and a comfortable income,
giving me the freedom and security to have
this life.
To be loved and give love.

That was it.
As I look down on the page
trying to make choices, I remember
my statement. What I want.
I got a little
lost...
But not anymore.
