October 28th
Today would be my
wedding Anniversary.
If I was still married.
I do not want him
back.
but at times I
want moments
back.
But you can not
get those moments
back.
I thought I would think
about a good moment
we had.
To make the day
positive,
not negative.
I picked this
moment.
We were laying in
bed.
Watching TV.
I farted.
Loud.
It almost blew
the blankets off
the bed.
He started laughing
so loud,
he could not
catch his breath.
he hit the lamp
with his hand and
it knocked some things
over.
He went to get up
and the blankets
were wrapped
around his legs,
so when he
got out of bed
he fell over
and hit his head
on the wall.
We both are laughing.
He gets up
and walks toward the
bathroom to
catch his breath.
He is laughing so
hard , tears are
streaming down
his face.
He can not see
and walks right
into the dresser
and bangs his
crouch on the
corner
of the dresser.
He bends over
and gropes himself.
We are both laughing
still.
we can barely breath.
Silence.
we both calm down.
he is holding his crouch.
in pain.
I farted, I say.
Really?
he says...I did not notice.
That was our marriage.
Painful and funny.
