People lose
Their families.
You pray it
Never happens
To you.
I opened
Up this
Box and
Found a letter
My mom
Wrote to
Her childhood
Friend.
It talked
About the
Death of
Her mother
Her father
Then her
Sister .
Leaving her
Alone.
The emotions
And the loss
Made me
Weep,
I was never
Supposed to
See this letter .
But to read it
Made me ache.
How does
My mom
Continue so
Positive
With
All
That loss.
I hid the letter
And walked to
Her room.
Tears streaming
Down my face
I knocked on the door .
She opened the
Door.

Momma ..I say
Crying, feeling
Her pain.
What's this?
She says as
She hugs me.
What's all this ?
I whisper in
Her ear,
You have me mom
I so do not want you
To feel alone.
My mom starts
To weep.
You fill my
Heart,
How could
I be alone?
She says.
I found

Letter
I say.
We stand
Hugging
Crying
And
Falling apart.
As we calm

Mom
Holds my face.

I hold her
