that make a path

of life.

Birth

certificate,

marriage

certificate,

deed to a

home,

business

license. 

divorce

papers.

all filed

in a neat

and tidy

folder.

but 

who am

I ?

I sit and

have been 

waiting.

Waiting

for my life to

take flight.

it has moved.

at a turtles

pace.

I keep 

waiting

for something

to break,

something

to be written.

looking at 

myself in the mirror.

The fog from

the shower

fogs

up the mirror.

I take 

my finger

and write

a single word.

I look

back at

the mirror

and 

the word

now

looks

back at 

me.

But all

I can 

think

is

run.
