Heal me
I run
The bath water
Extra hot.
I take out
My pomegranate
Oil and swirl it
In the water.
The steam fills
My nose.
I step
Into the hot
Watery pool.
I am no longer
46
I am no longer
Stressed.
I am no longer
In pain.
All of that
Drifts
Away in the steam.
I love this
It's the only
Time I am
In love with
My body.
It's because there
Is no mirror to
Point out my
Flaws. It's
Only my eyes
Looking
At my vessel
Loving it
Excepting it.
My eyes are
What God
Uses to see.
As I let
The watery
Oily pomegranate
Mix heal me.
I am reminded
How kind I can
Be
How my heart
Is so big.
How thankful
I am to have
This body.
Long legs
Tummy
Neck.
I am healed
For just a moment
Until I get
Out
Of this tub.
So why leave?
Because the
Lesson is to
Find this love
Of self
Outside this water.
As I get out
I close my eyes
And whisper
To myself
Only words
That I can
Understand.
The message
Is private
But the
Beginning
Starts and
All I
Hear is ...
Heal me.
And I wait
For a reply
