You don't nap

As you
sit
on the couch
you adjust
your pillow.
It's happening.
But you
will never
admit
it.
It makes
me smile
every time.
I have never
met someone
who fights
this so
much.
You balance
your chin
on your hand
thinking
this is your
best defense.
It never is.
I could tell
you this,
but it actually
brings
me a little
joy to
see you fight
through this.
All of a sudden
your head dips
a bit and you quickly
open your eyes.
Let yourself
go my love.
Drift into
that sleepy
world and
do the things
you want
to do.
Maybe you will
dance with me?
Are you flying
in the air
with nothing
but your arms?
Have you won
the lotto?
or perhaps
you are on
vacation
somewhere.
When the
snoring starts
I know you
are napping.
And I
love it.
Such a
strong
spirit,
you do not
like people
to tell you
what to do.
You have
such a
strength
but when
you are
sleeping
you must
let everything
go.

you the most.
And you suddenly
wake
yourself up.
