Somewhere between growth and survival

As the needle
and thread meet
and connect
the fabric
it weaves the
two
materials
together
making for a
beautiful connection.
The hum of the needle
is very
calming.
Its pleasing.
The needle
knows its job
and knows
how to connect.
It takes care
that each precise
movement is
special
that it means
something,
does something.
The fabric is
dipped into
water and
spins around
to make sure
the connection
is strong.
I see that
there is a small
piece that
has become
disconnected.
I could
sew it again.
But this time
I do not.
Right
now its
Somewhere
between growth
and
survival.
And in
this moment
I am letting
it go
because
I can't
get hurt
again.
