I Have You.
Bring me
back to
the wind
singing to me
over the tall meadows
of grass.
The gravel
under my
feet.
The only time
I felt that
you loved me.
Truly.
My feet on the
wooden floors
and the
pantry
with cherry tea.
This was the night
I realized
the sacrifices
you made for
me.
Remembering
how the chandelier
above the bed
caught
the reflection
of the past.
In the morning
the sun hit
the window
and fogged
the corners.
As I walked outside
I pushed
the screen
porch open
and realized,
I would love
to have this.
But I have
more.
I have you.
