The Day You Surrendered
I can see
it
between
the panes
of fogged
up glass.
The white
linen
curtain
lays open
gently
to invite
you
to
this view.
Look unto
it.
You may
never get this
chance again.
As you look
at the green
grass and
the rolling
stream
let yourself
feel
this view.
This
moment.
The trees
are calling
to you.
You look
at the metal
lawn furniture
that is set
for
a gathering
of people.
But there
is just you.
It has
to be this
way
as you
let your
soul
fly out the
window.
Float across
the butterfly garden
and over the
stream.
You allow
yourself
to be rescued.
Just now.
You have to
let it happen.
You almost
let the
orchards
take you.
But you
were
saved
by this white
curtain
in this window.
It was the day
you surrendered
and found
your
strength.
