Promises Made
Carpenter bees
bump into
me and
take their
position
of monarch.
I let the
Ants use
my toe
as a bridge
to get to
the marble
platform
so tasks
can continue.
Returning dandelions
sing of their
buttercup
shadows
and stunning
yellow.
Turquoise planks
of warm
reflect
the sun,
support my
dreams
of private
gardens
and shaded
walkways.
Blossoms
remind me
of the promises
made in
the winter's snow.
I smile to
the task.
